Kakiat STEAM Academy proudly wrapped up its third season of Girls on the Run “Heart and Sole,” representing the East Ramapo Central School District. This fall, 15 amazing girls participated in the 8-week program, which promotes confidence, teamwork, and resilience. The season culminated in an inspiring 5K event at Rockland State Park on November 16, where over 20 Kakiat staff members joined the girls to cheer on, run, walk, and skip to the finish line.
Special thanks to the Kakiat school community for their unwavering support, which made this program possible. Coaches Amma Owusu-Afriyie, Brittany Barrow, and Neema Mathew dedicated their time and energy to leading the program and empowering our girls to achieve their goals.
We are so proud of our team and look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence!
