Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. Kakiat's staff has been working diligently to plan for a healthy, safe, and successful school year. We are excited to partner with you to promote high academic standards, foster a love of reading, and provide our scholars with the best educational experiences. Together, we will explore the promise and possibilities this school year has to offer, inspiring our scholars to realize their full potential.
As we prepare to open the 2025–2026 school year, please note the following important information:
- The first day of school is Thursday, September 4, 2025. School hours are 8:00 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. I am looking forward to welcoming your child to Kakiat STEAM Academy on September 4, 2025.
- Bus Passes will be mailed to your home the last week of August from the Department of Transportation. If you have any questions, you can contact Transportation at (845) 577-6490.
- Meal/Milk Applications will be mailed to your home the last week of August. Please complete and return the application to your child’s teacher.
- Please review East Ramapo’s Cell Phone Policy. In accordance with NYS State regulations, East Ramapo students may not use personal cell phones or other devices that connect to the internet while on school property for the entire school day.
- Kakiat's School Supply Lists can be found on our website.
- Middle School Only: You can view your child's schedule, school counselor, progress reports, and report cards on the portal. Instructions on how to create an account can be found on the district website at Technology & Information Management / eSD Portal Login Instructions ~This includes videos and instructions, printable in three languages. For help, please email ER-Data@ercsd.org. Once you have created an account, you can access it by clicking on the Parent Portal link.
